A skunk found last week in Grapevine tested positive for rabies — the second wild animal to test positive for the virus in the city within a month. Grapevine police said that an 'ill-appearing' skunk was found Thursday in a residential area near Dove Road and Tumbleweed Trial, off of State Highway 114 in the northwestern part of the city. Tests revealed the mammal was positive for the viral disease, which can be transmitted to humans via animal bite. Earlier this month, a fox found in the area tested positive for rabies.
